Biomass Heating System
CBS Renewables from Southport purchased a 199kW E-COMPACT Pellet boiler, 8 tonne silo, flex auger system and 3000 litre Buffer tank from WES’ north of England Distributor. The equipment was delivered to site on the 6th September 2013 and was commissioned on the 9th of October 2013. Project management of the job was undertaken by Stuart Ward of CBS Renewables. CBS visited the boiler manufacturer in advance of the installation to plan the project. Delivery of the equipment involved craning the boiler in through the roof of the old plant room by Ainscough Crane Hire. The entire installation was supervised by Stuart Ward and was completed in four weeks. WES commissioned the system on the 9th October 2013 and full hand over to the client and installer was completed.
RHI (A Compelling Financial Business Case)
Based on spending £30,000 p.a on LPG @ 37p/litrethe care home will consume 104 tonnes of pellet @ £190 per tonne = £19,760 p.a (a saving of £10,240) In addition the Care Home will receive circa £26,000 per annum in RHI payments. Therefore the overall saving by switching from LPG to Biomass is £36,240 i.e Free Heating.
